based on the book by Mrs. O.F. Walton
A family-favorite, with a wonderful message for today's worldly self-seeking generation.
All that glitters is not gold. A young woman pays a high price as she watches the carnival come to town and becomes discontent with her simple life. She dreams of the stage, romance and glamour. She later finds herself a mother full of regrets.
Laying pitiful, sick and dying she watches in helpless despair as her sweet little daughter suffers the consequences of a mother's sin of discontent and rebellion. Being dragged from city to city in a carnival caravan, her little girl learns the redemptive power of the cross and the providential care of the Great Shepherd to his little lambs.
This story portrays a realistic picture of the consequences of sin, but also beautifully presents the hope of eternal redemption. It is a wonderful story for youth that tend to look longingly at the world.
Over 3 hours long!
